In fact, Seri Austin’s network of bicycle lanes stretches approximately 7.3km around the township and comes complete with proper signage, integrated within the road network. The dedicated bicycle lane provides safer travel among those who wish to reduce their carbon footprint by not using cars.

In collaboration with JB City Hall in 2008, Seri Austin was the first township to launch and implement the usage of ‘Effective Microorganism’ (EM) as an alternative to chemical usage in agriculture, environmental remediation, and waste water treatment.

Seri Austin’s comprehensive efforts at environmental sustainability and the healthy living of its residents were recognized in 2014 by the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) as the first Smart Healthy City & Communities Township in Iskandar under the Smart & Healthy Community Programme initiated by IRDA itself.

With its modern layout and architecture, Seri Austin today is home to over 30,000 residents living in different home types. More developments are still in progress providing a greater variety of homes to choose from in this closely-knit neighbourhood of healthy-living.
